What do you like most about your job?

Catering events are often a mixture of countless details from culinary aspects to design and timing.  Being an executive sous chef allows me to create and control all of these elements and be a part of this magical journey.  I love the fact that every event is different and every job requires a whole new strategy to create those unforgettable moments for our clients. 

What is your favorite kind of event?

My favorite kind of event is the one that may at first seem impossible to execute and requires complete focus on everyone’s part.  It becomes especially satisfying when, at the end of such an event, a client comes into the kitchen and tells us how wonderful everything was and how much they appreciate us being a part of their special day.

What is the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?

When I was a little boy, my grandpa would often serve us fried garbanzos.  They were flavorful and crunchy and I must say, I always enjoyed them as a snack - until several years later when my grandpa finally called them by their real name: fried grasshoppers.
